REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Proficiency in both manual and automated testing tools and frameworks
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
  • Exposure to Selenium, IntelliJ, GITHUB, JMeter
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and practices
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Attention to detail and a passion for ensuring software quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Test Automation tools like Selenium Webdriver, SmartBear Test complete, GitLab, IntelliJ & TestNG Framework.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of API testing and tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
  • Familiarity with Test Management tools like Microfocus ALM.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Digital Services and Analytics (DS&A). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Manual & automation testing, particularly with Selenium, and experience in Java programming. Familiarity with cloud technologies and DevOps practices is a plus for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on project requirements and design specifications
  • Execute test cases and conduct both manual and automated testing to ensure product quality
  • Identify, record, document, and track software defects and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues
  • Work closely with software developers to understand product architecture and technical requirements
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and tools
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings
  • Provide clear and concise feedback to the development team regarding product quality and potential areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.
