Responsibilities of the electrical / mechanical engineer include:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and protocols to evaluate product performance under various conditions.
  • Design and implement both manual and automated testing systems to validate product quality and functionality.
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, uncover potential issues, and recommend improvements to product design or manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, manufacturing, and quality teams to enhance product reliability and performance.
  • Choose and calibrate the right test equipment and instrumentation for each project.
  • Resolve any test system discrepancies, continuously improving testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain thorough testing documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Preferred qualifications for the electrical / mechanical engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of test equipment, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience with automation tools and programming languages like LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or C++.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, ASTM, and MIL-STD.
  • Experience with automotive communications.

· Proficient in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar methodologies, with certifications in test engineering, quality assurance, or related fields.
