This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1000000 (ie INR 10 LPA) Min Experience: 4 years Location: Bengaluru JobType: full-time We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based test automation and hands-on experience in automating desktop applications. This role focuses on building, executing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in hybrid environments and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to automate complex application workflows end to end. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Python Implement automated test scripts for desktop applications using TestComplete Apply BDD frameworks to create readable and maintainable test scenarios Identify and manage UI objects effectively using TestComplete Spy tools Execute end-to-end automated test cases as part of the software testing lifecycle Perform script development, execution, debugging, and result analysis Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines where applicable Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand requirements and testing needs Ensure test coverage, reliability, and reusability of automation scripts Actively contribute to improving automation processes, standards, and best practices What Makes You a Great Fit 4–6 years of hands-on experience in automation testing Strong proficiency in Python for test automation Solid experience working with BDD frameworks Practical exposure to Selenium for automation testing Proven experience in desktop application automation using TestComplete Strong understanding of the software test automation process Excellent object identification and scripting skills Good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities Experience in industrial automation testing is a plus Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment and collaborate with distributed teams
