AUTOMATION TEST LEAD - WEB & MOBILE APPLICATIONS

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Automation Test Lead - Web & Mobile Applications for an 8.5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3-4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

AUTOMATION TEST LEAD - WEB & MOBILE APPLICATIONS - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project focuses on Instant Banking Access, a part of the product onboarding domain, aimed at enhancing how new and existing customers can onboard products digitally. The Automation Test Lead will design, develop, and maintain a flexible and reusable test automation framework to support continuous testing in an agile environment.

AUTOMATION TEST LEAD - WEB & MOBILE APPLICATIONS - MANDATORY SKILLS:

5+ years of hands-on Test Automation experience with web and mobile applications.
5+ years of Test Automation experience with Java or JavaScript.
5+ years of experience with frameworks and utilities like Selenium WebDriver or WebDriverIO.
2+ years of recent experience with API testing.
Strong communication skills for interaction with cross-functional teams.
Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

AUTOMATION TEST LEAD - WEB & MOBILE APPLICATIONS – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

Experience within a Financial Institution.
Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber.
Experience with e-commerce platforms.
Positive and resilient personality.
Ability to embrace feedback and desire for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Be an advocate for quality in the project lifecycle.
Write moderate to complex code/scripts to test systems.
Design, develop, and maintain a modular, extensible, and reusable test automation framework.
Collaborate closely with team members to develop a test approach that effectively covers functional performance characteristics.
Collaborate with Delivery Lead to plan milestones, execute software delivery, and escalate issues.
Report defects and work with the team to determine, prioritize, and schedule solutions.
Prioritize testing of projects effectively across various businesses.
Conduct root cause analysis of post-production issues and plan to prevent them in the future.
Introduce and influence process improvements and act as an agent for change.
