This role is for a top-tier technician who can diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues across modern platforms including gas, diesel, hybrid, ADAS, and autonomous systems. This position offers clear advancement opportunities into Master Technician, Diesel Specialist, Hybrid/EV Specialist, and Foreman roles — each with additional hourly pay. Responsibilities Advanced Diagnostics Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and computer system failures Utilize and train others on advanced scan tools and diagnostic platforms Program vehicle control modules (ECU, TCM, BCM, etc.) using OEM and aftermarket tools (Cardaq, RAP systems, etc.) Diagnose faults using oscilloscopes and thermal imaging (FLIR) Diagnose noise, vibration, drivability, and body control issues Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics Electrical & Fabrication Perform advanced electrical diagnostics and repairs Fabricate wiring systems from scratch when required Perform precision repairs without unnecessary component removal Fabricate brake and mechanical components as needed Apply creative problem-solving when standard repair paths are unavailable Advanced Systems Experience Hybrid and electric vehicle diagnostics and repair ADAS, RADAR, and LIDAR systems (Plus but not required) Light-duty diesel systems including: High-pressure oil systems Fuel injector systems (EUI / HEUI) Turbocharger systems Air induction and exhaust systems Electronic diesel engine controls Certifications (Preferred) ASE Master Certified ASE A6 – Electrical/Electronic Systems ASE L1 – Advanced Engine Performance Specialist ASE A9 – Light Vehicle Diesel Engines ASE L2 – Electronic Diesel Engine Diagnosis ASE L3 – Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist Career Advancement & Specialty Pay Qualified technicians may advance into the following roles: Diesel Specialist (D1 / D2) Hybrid / Electric Vehicle Specialist Foreman / Shop Leader What We’re Looking For High-level diagnostic and electrical expertise Strong mechanical and/or fabrication skills Ability to work independently on complex repairs Willingness to mentor and support other technicians Commitment to ongoing training and evolving vehicle technology What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and certifications Specialty pay incentives Clear career progression path Ongoing training and certification support Stable, professional shop environment
