US Farathane is seeking an entry-level Automotive Account Manager for our GM Business Unit at our Corporate Tech Center in Auburn Hills, MI. This is an exciting opportunity for someone just starting out in sales to launch their career in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You’ll gain invaluable experience, develop essential sales skills, and contribute directly to our continued growth as part of our dynamic sales team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR – YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or relevant field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills (or a willingness to develop them).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Familiarity with the automotive industry, specifically General Motors. Injection molding experience is a plus but not required – we’ll teach you what you need to know!
  • Proven work experience in a relevant sales role, with an understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience.

We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the sales team with all aspects of customer relations including developing and maintaining strong relationships with the customer, General Motors.
  • Identify and address customer concerns promptly while representing USF in a positive manner.
  • Gather information on assigned customers (core products, needs and pricing plans) to understand their requirements and work on a sales plan.
  • Provide after-sales support to retain customers.
  • Assist Account Managers with daily commercial related tasks and technical reviews.
  • Close out any commercial issues.
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional groups within USF to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Develop relationships with key buyers within the GM team.
  • Manage piece price/tooling contracts and submit pricing to the customer for engineering change requests.
  • Issue RFQ’s for new business, EWO’s CN’s to internal costing group.
