  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and GL posting practices.
  • Familiarity with DMS platforms such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Dealertrack.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive financial and payroll data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities
  • Accurately post all finalized new and used vehicle sales deals into the DMS (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack), ensuring proper mapping to the correct GL accounts.
  • Reconcile and clean accounting schedules related to deals, identifying and correcting posting errors in a timely manner.
  • Verify all required deal documentation including sales contracts, lender funding details, payoffs, and trade-ins before posting.
  • Confirm commissionable gross amounts on completed deals and submit verified data to payroll for processing sales commissions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting department policy requirements.
  • Communicate proactively with sales managers, F&I managers, and inventory clerks to resolve any deal discrepancies.
  • Track unfunded deals and coordinate resolution with internal department heads.
  • Maintain and update internal deal logs, reporting schedules, and reconciling GL accounts as required.
