POSITION OVERVIEW

We are on the lookout for a highly motivated, proactive, and customer-focused individual to join us as our Team Leader in Auto Operations. Based at our Jandakot site, you will ensure a seamless, accurate, and customer-centric process for vehicle pickups. This hands-on role involves managing a small team of yard assistants and customer service professionals, collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver an efficient, safe, and positive experience for everyone involved. You’ll be right there in the yard, making things happen every day!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Passion for cars and customer service.
  • Commitment to efficient and safe work practices within a proactive and accountable culture.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality customer service and leading a team, ideally within the automotive industry.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, with an approachable and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to manage and meet efficiency and quality targets.
  • Strong problem-solving and dispute resolution skills.
  • Ability to remain positive and lead by example in challenging situations.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of auto division staff to achieve excellence and job satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and address any issues.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team members’ skills and knowledge.
  • Manage team scheduling, workload distribution, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the vehicle booking process, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling for customers.
  • Coordinate with customers to arrange vehicle collections, addressing any logistical issues.
  • Ensure all vehicle information is accurately recorded and updated in the system.
  • Monitor and improve the efficiency of booking and collection processes.
  • Build and maintain positive, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively maintain a tidy and safe work site.
  • Achieve metrics and KPIs, contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive, proactive, customer-focused, and accountable culture at Grays.
