JOB SUMMARY

The Automotive Back Parts Window Associate works in a fast-paced environment and supports Automotive Licensed Technicians in locating and providing the right parts for auto repairs. This role involves the use of a computerized automotive part system to estimate repairs, order parts, and to control and maintain inventory.

REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS

We will provide all the training you need! You just need to be passionate about automotive

  • Knowledge of current automotive mechanic and technology
  • Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to plan and organize daily tasks
  • Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
  • Knowledge of automotive parts lookup system (asset)
Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the Automotive Service Centre team maximizes the customer experience by providing timely and correct vehicle components.
  • Process the Licensed Automotive Technicians” requests for parts and tires.
  • Communicate with Service Manager/Service Advisors/Licensed Automobile Technicians and Automotive Service Installers.
  • Source and order automotive parts, shop supplies and products through authorized suppliers.
  • Maintain and control accuracy of inventory.
  • Test and fill batteries, test starters and alternators.
  • Stock shelves in storage display areas.
  • Process returns, warranties and castings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
