Description JOB RESPONSIBILITIES For the Automotive Core Technician opportunity, you will work on-site at our store location and fulfill the following job responsibilities: Participate in a culture that focuses on "Safety First" & "Environmental Stewardship" and adheres to environmental, health, and safety standards. Prioritize the cleanliness and appearance of the facility and your work area. Listen to and interact with customers to deliver friendly, helpful, and professional customer service. Abide by the Company Playbook, which includes all company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOP's). Comply with the company dress code policy and wear your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Perform daily inspection and cleaning on equipment and tools assigned to the ACT role-- report defects or needed repairs to supervisors. Keep account of all assigned tools Removing Air Bags and other cores as assigned and preparing for shipment Keeping retail stocked with batteries, tires, radios, jacks and thrift items Making and supplying retail with washer fluid Maintaining wheelbarrows, hoists and golf carts Part Pulling program for customers (Removing auto parts from vehicles) Performing Customer Service duties as needed, assisting customers getting larger automotive items to the retail area for payment Meet personal and team performance goals. Commit to working ACT hours (typically Wednesday-Sunday), but may include occasional overtime, and some holidays. Work in an industrial, outdoor environment with exposure to all weather conditions. Learn new skills; assist your teammates; and complete other automotive salvage & recycling tasks and objectives as needed. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS The ideal Automotive Core Technician will possess the following qualifications: Commitment to delivering friendly, helpful, and professional customer service. Automotive parts knowledge and application. Basic computer skills and ability to use mobile devices. Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Able to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) and complete tasks safely and accurately with little supervision. Experience using both hand tools and power tools. Willing and able to stand, walk, bend, lift 50lbs, and stretch as required by a specific task. Must work ACT hours (typically Wednesday-Sunday), but may include occasional overtime, and some holidays. Be willing and able to work in an industrial, outdoor environment with exposure to all weather conditions. Reliable means of transportation to work. Preferred qualifications (but not required) include: Experience in maintenance on automotive repairs Bilingual in English and Spanish.
