Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation is a strong asset).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in an automotive dealership environment (Chrysler experience preferred).
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems (Preferably PBS Systems).
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and Canadian tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with both company policies and manufacturer requirements (Chrysler/Stellantis).
  • Analyze financial statements, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management to support strategic planning.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with department managers.
  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory and manufacturer standards.
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to provide requested documentation and resolve inquiries.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions and monitor dealership cash flow, credit lines, and floorplan accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Chrysler Canada, including incentive programs, warranty claims, and factory receivables.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise accounting department staff, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with inventory valuation, cost control measures, and asset management to optimize dealership performance.
