We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Diesel /Gas Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and related systems, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, from working on Van Step Vans (Mercedes Sprinters, Isuzu Reach, Ford Transits and a few Cargo Vans. Automotive Diesel / Gas Mechanic *We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and skilled mechanic who is self-motivated, accountable, and possesses strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and as part of a team and have experience with a diverse fleet of vehicles, Vans, Trucks, including gas and diesel-powered, and medium-duty diesel vehicles and GSE Employment Type: Full Time M-F / Flat Rate $35 - $45+ DOE Responsibilities: Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle/equipment condition. Complete preventive maintenance schedules and inspections to keep equipment available for use. Correct vehicle deficiencies by repairing or replacing various components and systems. Conduct test drives to verify vehicle performance, adjusting controls and systems as necessary. Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements. Keep detailed records of services and repairs. Manage shop equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Control costs by utilizing warranties and evaluating service/part options. Maintain inventory of supplies and parts. Provide excellent customer service, including effective communication with clients regarding their vehicles. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Be prepared for field inspections and repairs in various weather conditions.
