Description

VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Automotive Electrician to join our clients’ business in Greenacre. Our client, C Young Auto Dismantlers is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team, with strong communication skills.

SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components and systems in a wide range of vehicles. You will ensure all electrical work is completed to manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent (as per AQF standards).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Automotive Electrician.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using specialised diagnostic tools and software.
  • Knowledge of electronic fuel injection, anti-lock braking systems, airbag systems, and hybrid vehicle technology is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and pinpoint electrical and electronic faults in vehicles using advanced testing equipment.
  • Skilfully remove and install a wide range of electrical and electronic assemblies and components.
  • Integrate and connect electrical systems and electronic accessories within various motor vehicles.
  • Ensure proper power supply connections for all power-operated vehicle equipment.
  • Calibrate and fine-tune engine management systems and ignition timing for optimal performance.
  • Inspect, test, and replace malfunctioning alternators, generators, voltage regulators, and starter motors.
  • Execute repairs and replacements of faulty ignition systems and intricate electrical wiring.
  • Identify and substitute defective parts, including fuses, lamps, and switches, to restore functionality.
