This role places you at the core of how next-generation vehicles are tested, validated, and brought to life. We’re looking for a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Engineer who enjoys building, integrating, and improving complex test environments. You’ll work with state-of-the-art Vector tools, contribute to continuous integration pipelines, and help accelerate innovation in electrification and autonomous driving. What you will do Design, develop, and maintain HIL rigs at component and domain levels. Lead integration efforts across multiple product areas. Commission, configure, and validate HIL test objects. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues, including wiring, harnesses, and simulation elements. Manage ECU updates and component configurations. Develop and refine network simulations (gateways, signal manipulation, etc.). Execute manual software downloads for core ECUs. Requierements Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics, or similar. 10+ years of relevant experience. Strong background in electronic systems development (HW & SW). Hands-on experience with HIL and automated test systems using Vector tools. Proficiency in Python and CAPL for scripting and automation. Deep understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet). Skilled in CANoe for simulation and data analysis. Familiarity with Vector hardware components: o VT System modules (VT RT Modules, VT cards) o RT Rack and compatible I/O boards o Vector Network Interface cards o Power supply units and control systems Preferred: Experience with domains like Doors, Sunroof, and Trailer modules or experience with Exterior Lighting or Interior System domains.
