Description

Urban Life Solutions is seeking an Automotive Journeyman to inspect, diagnose, and repair company fleet vehicles and a variety of landscaping, construction, and snow/ice removal equipment. This role involves working in both the shop and field as needed.
Only open to Alberta-certified Automotive Journeyman or Red Seal Technicians.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks
  • Use manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify problems
  • Service equipment in both the shop and in the field when required
  • Maintain accurate work orders and service records
  • Assist with planning and coordinating major repairs
  • Use hydrostatic tools, lifting devices, and winches as needed
  • Perform basic fabrication and engineered alterations
  • Follow company safety standards and policies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Alberta Automotive Journeyman certificate
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the automotive industry
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (minimum)
  • Must provide own hand and power tools
  • Proficient with computer-based maintenance programs
  • Experience with commercial mowing equipment (Toro, John Deere, Walker) an asset
  • Knowledge of construction, landscaping, and snow/ice equipment an asset
