Daily Schedule/Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Minimum of 8 years of Automotive Technician experience
  • Exceptional at vehicle systems diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Must be independent, professional, and able to hit the ground running
  • Proficient in GM Global Connect or similar platforms for vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and management
  • Proficient with MDI (Multiple Diagnostic Interface) GM technician tool
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Experience with vehicle instrumentation and sensors
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy environment and work independently or with other team members
  • Ability to identify unique situations and escalate accordingly
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
  • Ability and willingness to work in a cross functional environment
  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic Knowledge of Intrepid Vehicle Spy tool and software preferred
  • Demonstrated capabilities with electric vehicles
  • Demonstrated abilities providing mechanical and electrical solutions to new innovations
  • Previous General Motors vehicle experience

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

Licensed Automotive Technician.

  • Must hold at least a 310S license (or equivalent); a valid G Class driver’s license is also required
  • Natural Gas and Propane Vehicle Certification preferred
  • Wrecker license and Class D (or higher) driver’s license preferred

ROLE SUMMARY

Our client, who is a leader in the Automotive Manufacturing sector, is currently seeking an experienced licensed Automotive Technician to provide maintenance service to customers across engineering, retrofit, marketing teams, and the Canada fleet. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various vehicle sub-systems, instrumentation and testing of development vehicles, and providing mechanical leadership to drive new innovations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve system issues efficiently.
  • Perform instrumentation and testing on development vehicles to support engineering evaluations and innovation.
  • Execute automotive repairs and maintenance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company processes/specifications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports of diagnostic findings, repairs, and testing results.
  • Adapt to new technologies, repair procedures, and service specifications to stay ahead of industry advancements.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, providing professional and effective communication with clients and teams.
  • Ensure safety compliance with all regulatory guidelines related to vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and operational procedures.
  • Apply mechanical and troubleshooting expertise for innovative projects, assisting in the development of new technologies.
