JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated 3rd-year or higher Automotive Mechanic to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. You’ll be working on a variety of makes and models, performing everything from routine maintenance to complex repairs. Must provide own tools, some shop tools are provided for you.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of 3rd year or higher in a recognized Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship program
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record with less then 6 demerits in past 5 years
  • Solid understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and shop equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair instructions, experience with Mitchell’s On Demand, Shop Key.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy parts and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to continue learning and growing within the trade
  • Must live in or near Spruce Grove AB, Edmonton and surrounding areas

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Red Seal Certification (or in progress)
  • 5+ Years as Red Seal Technician
  • Strong Electrical Skills
  • European or Domestic factory trained course completion

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of passenger vehicles and light trucks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to engines, drivetrains, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and HVAC
  • Conduct computerized diagnostics and interpret scan tool results accurately
  • Follow manufacturer and company repair procedures and safety guidelines
  • Assist junior apprentices when needed and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed using repair orders or digital systems, experience with Shop Monkey is an asset but not required.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and tools
