Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage, schedule and prioritize maintenance work orders and apprentices
  • Rebuild and make repairs to service trucks, mine trucks, and fuel trucks
  • Plan, inspect, service, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, dismantle, and replace unit assemblies or parts
  • Communicate with supervisors and other divisions on methods, procedures, standards, and hazards
  • Exercise judgment in the selection of materials and tools as well as methods so that the job is performed in accordance with accepted manufacturers specifications and safety standards
  • Trouble-shoot, plan, and perform work requiring a strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, low voltage direct current, electronic and pneumatic principles, trade techniques, properties of various materials, and operating and application principles of equipment
  • Follow specifications on complex equipment diagrams, parts drawings and catalogues
  • Repair and rebuild engines, hydraulic and electric systems of diesel/gasoline, electric, propane and pneumatic powered equipment
  • Use precision testing equipment to determine source and cause of fault and to perform close tolerance adjustment
  • Test and operate repaired equipment as required
  • Make field repairs as required to bring equipment back on-line
  • Keep tools and equipment in clean and orderly condition
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Successfully complete safety training as required on an ongoing basis
  • Observe all safety procedures and use proper Personal Protective Equipment
  • Ensure all Ketek work procedures, policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations are followed
  • Be considerate of the needs of our community and the environment
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Represent Ketek in a light that is commensurate with the values of the Corporate Vision and Mission Statements
