Responsibilities
Effectively manage, schedule and prioritize maintenance work orders and apprentices
Rebuild and make repairs to service trucks, mine trucks, and fuel trucks
Plan, inspect, service, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, dismantle, and replace unit assemblies or parts
Communicate with supervisors and other divisions on methods, procedures, standards, and hazards
Exercise judgment in the selection of materials and tools as well as methods so that the job is performed in accordance with accepted manufacturers specifications and safety standards
Trouble-shoot, plan, and perform work requiring a strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, low voltage direct current, electronic and pneumatic principles, trade techniques, properties of various materials, and operating and application principles of equipment
Follow specifications on complex equipment diagrams, parts drawings and catalogues
Repair and rebuild engines, hydraulic and electric systems of diesel/gasoline, electric, propane and pneumatic powered equipment
Use precision testing equipment to determine source and cause of fault and to perform close tolerance adjustment
Test and operate repaired equipment as required
Make field repairs as required to bring equipment back on-line
Keep tools and equipment in clean and orderly condition
Complete required paperwork
Successfully complete safety training as required on an ongoing basis
Observe all safety procedures and use proper Personal Protective Equipment
Ensure all Ketek work procedures, policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations are followed
Be considerate of the needs of our community and the environment
Perform other related duties as required
