The Department of Environmental Services (DES) [https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/DES] is seeking Automotive Mechanics to join our team! The Auto Equipment Bureau provides maintenance and repair services to all County and Schools fleet vehicles, including heavy fire apparatus, buses, dump trucks, utility trucks, passenger vehicles, snow-related equipment, and other heavy and light equipment. The selected candidates will perform skilled mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repair and maintenance on a variety of vehicle types, reporting to the Trades Manager/Leader I.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repair and maintenance on a diverse fleet of County and School vehicles. Responsibilities include servicing heavy fire apparatus, buses, dump trucks, and passenger vehicles.
