Description

Urban Life Solutions is currently looking for an Automotive Journeyman to work with our Fleet & Facility team in Calgary. This position will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and providing repairs to landscaping, maintenance, construction and snow and ice removal equipment. This position is open to Journeyman Automotive Mechanics.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate safety leadership and safe work practices at all times
  • Troubleshoot and service various maintenance, construction, and snow/ice removal equipment in both a shop environment and in the field as required
  • Utilize manuals and diagnostic equipment to perform work duties
  • Maintain work orders
  • Assist in the management of repairs
  • Use of Hydrostatic tools and equipment
  • Fabrication of engineered alterations
  • Use mechanical lifting devices and winches

BASIC/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Journeyman Automotive ticket
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License and proof of current Driver’s Abstract
  • Possesses own tools
  • Ability to manage tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and succeed
  • All successfully candidates must provide a recent criminal record check as part of employment
  • Legally Authorized to Work in Canada without sponsorship

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency with computer maintenance programs
  • Experience with commercial mowing equipment (Toro, John Deere, Walker)
  • Hydraulic AND Diesel engine diagnostic experience
