The Parts Advisor is responsible for accurately and efficiently specifying and filling correct parts for technicians, retail, and wholesale customers, while providing an exceptional customer experience. Requirements Responsibilities Handles orders and requests for information efficiently via telephone and over-the-counter customers by understanding the manufacturer’s parts system and ordering procedures. Responsible for accurately specifying and identifying parts needed to meet customer requirements, to ensure that number of parts returns due to errors are minimal. Promotes the sale of appropriate parts and accessories by accurately identifying the customer’s needs and promoting the benefits of using genuine parts. Maintains accurate sales and inventory records of all invoiced items. Accurately costs out parts and accessories on counter tickets and repair orders. Generates goodwill by greeting and serving every customer anywhere on dealership property courteously and promptly. Qualifications Excellent communication and organization skills. Must be able to read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records. Previous parts advisor experience in an automotive dealership, preferred Understanding of basic automotive components and systems Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence
