POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Retail Parts Counter Advisor is responsible for obtaining, stocking, and selling parts and supplies to automotive repair shops, dealerships, and other businesses. They ensure the seamless coordination and availability of parts, contributing significantly to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

• Meet and greet incoming customers in a professional manner
• Answer incoming calls and provide parts support
• Provide accurate quotes, expected ETAs of parts, and updates to customers
• Obtain customer authorizations
• Interpret information from the customer to provide accurate parts
• Sell parts and supplies
• Receive payments
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Perform general office duties, related to the parts department
• Rotating Saturday shifts

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or technical certification preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in an automotive parts department.
• Familiarity with OEM parts systems and electronic cataloging tools (e.g. CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Team player with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and carry parts up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
• Occasional climbing and use of ladders to access inventory.
