Automotive Parts Manager
John Hinderer Honda is seeking a leader to build on our already established Parts Department. Our ideal candidate will possess a Client Focused, KPI Driven, Leadership with previous Parts Management experience to meet and exceed the demands of our growing business. This manager is responsible for running a profitable and efficient parts department. The ideal candidate will accomplish objectives using proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising. To perform the position successfully you must have world class client satisfaction skills, superior inventory controls, a passion to coach train and develop a team of associates with a desire to grow.’

Responsibilities

  • Mentor, recruit, hire, train, and motivate a team of parts associates
  • Maintain a day’s supply and fill rate of parts within requirements of manufacturer
  • Establish a critical and ongoing relationship with internal and external partners
  • Order, check in, and return parts within compliance of shop procedures
  • Communicate with vendors on parts and service ETAs
  • Post and scan parts invoices and necessary documents into complete shop same day of arrival
  • Fill Technician parts requests
  • Responsible for all vehicle sublet items
  • Review necessary supplement parts with Tech
  • Responsible for repair order documentation
  • Accountable for parts department to be clean and always organized
  • Assist with Rapid Recon when necessary and work with Service Manager to ensure the timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
  • Keep stock of fluids and make sure they are charged out on repair order accordingly
  • Responsible for appointing vendor shop and discounts
  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence
  • Attend meetings as required based on business needs
  • Meet requirements of state and federal law for automobile repair and consumer protection

Schedule:

  • 8–10-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday + Weekend availability

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of management experience (Preferred)
  • 4 years of experience in an automotive parts department
  • Proven track record of success and abilities
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Successful completion of drug screen, background check, and Motor Vehicle Report with a valid driver’s license
