Rooted deeply in family values and over 100 employees strong, Car City has grown across Michigan and northern Indiana.   70% of our employees have been with us for 2+ years!   Special features of being an Automotive Parts Specialist: * Order parts for high paced service department. * Maintain billing and invoices, check for correct billing costs. * Receive and count stock items and record data. Return damaged parts and reconcile inventory. * Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. * Clean and maintain supplies and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. * Maintain necessary inventory levels to enable efficient sales flow and comply with service needs. * Accurately follow repair station requirements for parts handling. * Maintain filing for Shipping, Receiving, and Maintenance. * Order various office supplies as necessary for applicable departments. * Research and locate parts while evaluating the most cost-effective purchase price. * Maintain inventory stock and conduct annual physical inventory for receiving and shipping. * Assist Parts Manager, Service Manager and various other departments regarding maintenance concerns as needed. * Other duties as assigned to conduct business.   Automotive Parts Specialist Qualifications/Requirements: * At least 1-2 years of previous experience in automotive repair parts or automotive mechanical related field. * Must be at least 18 years of age or older. * Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. * Full-time schedule - start time 7am unless subject to change, (40 hours per week and overtime as needed/specified) * Advanced Computer/Internet skills are necessary. * Must be physically able to perform general daily activities needed for moving, sorting, and organizing parts (includes but is not limited to lifting 60+ lbs., bending, twisting, lifting overhead, etc.). * Exceptional organizational skills and detail oriented. * Basic math skills, reasoning skills, and excellent customer service skills. * Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and can multi-task while being accurate/efficient/organized. * Hilo driving experience is preferred.   We offer a comprehensive Benefits package including, but not limited to:  * Clean/well maintained shop environment  * Auto Parts Purchase at Cost * Whitecaps Tickets (First Row Seats) * Referral Bonus Potential * Prescription Glasses Voucher  * Major Holidays Off and Holiday Pay * Paid Time Off * Medical (BCBS), Dental, Vision, and Supplemental Insurance  * 401k with 20% contribution match * Free Coffee Machine Onsite  * Onsite Company Market to purchase breakfast/lunch/snacks/drinks  * Employee Vehicle Purchase Program * Food Truck Lunches * YMCA Gym Discount * Overtime potential   Disclaimer: This job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
