DESCRIPTION

This Automotive Press Operator Position Features:

  • Direct Hire position
  • Straight shift
  • Great Pay to $52K

Immediate need for automotive press operator seeking

Press Operators RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follows and prioritizes workload from the production schedule; sets up, programs and runs stamping press(es) with minimal supervision
  • Operates press(es), decoilers, feeders, conveyors, cranes and tow motor in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs all Quick Die Changes (QDC) as per the QDC Procedure independently to achieve target goals
  • Inspects quality of parts and completes all relevant paperwork; responsible for the quality of the parts being produced working with inspection gauges and equipment as per instruction
  • Unloading of coils may be required
  • Responsible for the equipment assigned; reports any equipment damage to the Lead Hand and returns equipment to its correct location when completed
  • Performs all duties as assigned in accordance with and adherence to the TS 16949 Quality System Standard
  • Follows Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions as outlined in the Quality Systems Manual and Employee Handbook
  • Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety, 5S and Housekeeping guidelines and rules;
  • Reports all unsafe & unhealthy conditions to Management or a member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee
  • Performs other tasks as required

KNOWLEDGE/ PREREQUISITES

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one (1) year hands on press operation experience

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE

  • Ability to perform QDC independently
  • Valid and current Forklift license and Crane license
