JOB TITLE: PARTS PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR

Location: Oshawa, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM); Flexibility and weekend availability required
Employment Type: Permanent, Direct Hire
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year, with an annual lump sum bonus

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Parts Procurement Supervisor to lead and manage the procurement process for mobile equipment and facility maintenance repair operations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in inventory control and industrial purchasing, as well as leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in automotive procurement
  • Post-secondary education required
  • Must be certified in Customer-TDG Training (or willing to complete)
  • Flexibility to work alternate shifts as business needs require
  • Must be able to commute reliably to Oshawa, ON
Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of up to three procurement staff
  • Research and identify required parts through manuals and online sources
  • Communicate with manufacturers and vendors to secure competitive pricing
  • Request, receive, and process vendor quotations
  • Prepare requisition orders for necessary parts and materials
  • Receive and verify incoming parts and supplies; update tracking systems accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records of goods ordered, received, and shipped
  • Store and organize parts and materials in designated areas
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels for all parts and consumables
  • Collaborate with trades personnel to ensure accuracy in orders
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure timely issuance and receipt of purchase orders
  • Assist facility maintenance supervisors by coordinating parts deliveries to expedite repairs
  • Process and prepare shipping documents (MSRs)
  • Present cost-saving initiatives and procurement reports to customers
  • Oversee organization and cleanliness of the mobile equipment repair stockroom
  • Monitor and update repair cost spreadsheets and harvested parts records
  • Utilize the Fleetio database to track unit status and spending
  • Maintain adequate levels of maintenance parts and consumable items
  • Perform other duties as assigned
