Description We are seeking a driven Automotive Sales Consultant who enjoys working with people and takes pride in helping customers find the right vehicle. This role is responsible for guiding guests through the buying or leasing process while delivering a positive, transparent, and professional experience. What You’ll Do Create a welcoming experience and build strong customer relationships Learn customer preferences and match them with the right vehicle solutions Demonstrate vehicle features, performance, and available upgrades Coordinate and conduct test drives in accordance with dealership procedures Clearly explain purchase and lease options, including pricing and terms Work with management to finalize deals and complete all sales paperwork Ensure a smooth handoff to the F&I department Stay informed on product updates, promotions, and compliance requirements Vehicle Delivery & Ownership Experience Prepare sold vehicles prior to customer arrival Review vehicle operation, warranty coverage, and ownership details at delivery Introduce customers to the service department and schedule initial service visits Follow through on post-delivery items and special requests Sales Growth & Follow-Up Follow up promptly with customers after visits and deliveries Build and maintain a strong personal client base Use CRM tools to track activity and manage ongoing communication Participate in networking, community, and dealership events as needed Team & Culture Contribute to a clean, organized showroom and lot Collaborate with and support fellow team members Mentor new sales associates when appropriate Attend training sessions and sales meetings Maintain a polished, professional appearance Requirements Job Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES) High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year relevant sales or customer service experience Valid driver’s license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous work experience working directly with the public, selling or influencing others, establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships, and communicating with persons outside the organization via phone, face-to-face, email and/or social media. Attention to detail Customer-focused with the ability to communicate directly with customers, explaining vehicle details, recommendations and costs Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data and process information Cooperative spirit that requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying good-natured, cooperative attitude; being sensitive to other’s needs and feelings while being understanding and helpful Professional appearance and work ethic Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and ability to work within a fast-paced environment
