POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an Auto Parts Salesperson at Jay Auto Parts, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their auto parts needs, sourcing and selling parts through advanced software systems, and managing both in-store and online sales channels. This role requires a blend of automotive expertise, sales experience, and technical ability to operate industry-standard platforms, including e-commerce.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3–5 years of proven experience in auto parts sales (retail, wholesale, or salvage industry).
  • Solid knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and components.
  • Proficiency with auto parts and sales software such as Checkmate, Hollander, Car-Part, Powerlink, Mitchell, Audatex, or similar.
  • Experience in posting and managing sales on eBay and online marketplaces (knowledge of shipping and order fulfillment processes preferred).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-first focus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
  • Provide professional, knowledgeable, and courteous customer service in person, over the phone, and online.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend the right automotive parts solutions.
  • Utilize software platforms such as Checkmate, Hollander, Car-Part, Powerlink, Mitchell, and Audatex for sourcing, quoting, invoicing, and inventory management.
  • Post, manage, and sell auto parts on eBay and other online platforms.
  • Accurately create invoices, quotes, and sales orders.
  • Source and order parts from suppliers as required.
  • Maintain proper stock organization, receiving, and shipping procedures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Build strong, lasting customer relationships through consistent service and follow-up.
  • Maintain a professional, safe, and organized work environment.
