Description Position Description: The Sales Consultant is one of the most visible representations of Wilson County Hyundai and is expected to maintain the highest standard of Sales, Customer Service, and Professionalism. The Sales Professional must work to ensure that all guest have every opportunity to purchase or lease the vehicle which best suits their needs at a price that fits their budget and provides a fair profit to the dealership. Essential Duties: Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and every team member is expected to follow the Everyday HERO (Helpful, Exceeds expectations, Represents us well, take Ownership) program in every aspect of their role. Follow the “Steps to the Sale” as described by your manager. Determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening. Demonstrate new/used vehicles (includes test drives). Deliver new/used vehicles to customers. This process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty. Attend all required sales meetings. Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers. Establish personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devise a strategy to meet those goals. Report to the Team Leader and/or Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analyses. Review and analyze actions at the end of each day week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively. Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product. Know and understand equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to the customer. Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales. Document all contacts and input information into Customer Retention Management Tool. Attend all training sessions. Take all required training and/or tests in conjunction with factory recommendations. All salespeople will be required to be certified by the specified manufacturer. You will be required to walk the lot on a regular basis to familiarize yourself with the inventory. You will be responsible to follow up and collect from the customer, all steps required to finalize your deals. Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to customers the quality and efficiency of the dealership's service operations. Abilities Needed To Perform Duties: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards. Excellent communication skills. Professional personal appearance. Good rapport with customers. Good driving record. Valid In-State Driver's License. Working Conditions: Will stand and move throughout the dealership facility (lot, showroom, service department, offices) for most of the shift. Will spend time outdoors showing vehicles to prospective customers and to drive vehicles in traffic during test drives. Evening, holiday and weekend work hours will be required.
