1. Role Purpose

The Parts Manager is responsible for the full end-to-end management of spare parts operations at OEM of UAE subsidiary, covering supply chain, inventory planning, pricing, dealer parts business development, and team leadership. This is a critical operational role that directly supports the authorized dealer network's ability to service customer vehicles efficiently and profitably.

2.Key Responsibilities:

2.1 Demand Forecasting & Inventory Planning

• Analyze historical sales data, seasonal patterns, market demand trends, upcoming model launches, and campaign activities to generate accurate rolling parts demand forecasts.
• Develop and maintain a structured inventory policy defining min-max stock levels, safety stock, and reorder points for all part categories - fast-moving, slow-moving, and critical VOR parts.
• Translate demand forecasts into monthly purchase plans aligned with HQ supply lead times, Warehouse capacity, and cashflow.
• Continuously refine forecasting models by monitoring actual vs forecast variance and applying root cause analysis to improve forecast accuracy overtime.
• Coordinate with HQ on new model introduction parts packs ensuring critical parts are in stock before any new model launch or campaign goes live.
• Maintain a model-wise demand profile to anticipate phasing in of new models and phasing out of end-of-life models within the portfolio.

2.2 Purchase Order Management & Supplier Relations

• Generate, review, and release purchase orders to local and HQ in line with the approved forecast, inventory policy.
• Manage supplier lead times, delivery schedules, and order confirmation processes - maintaining active communication with OEM parts logistics and third-party suppliers.
• Negotiate supplier terms where applicable: pricing, minimum order quantities, payment terms, and returns / credit policies.
• Evaluate supplier performance monthly against defined metrics: on-time delivery, fill rate, order accuracy, and defect rate.
• Maintain the supplier database and ensure all supplier master data in the SAP is accurate and current.

2.3 Warehouse & Inventory Operations (PDC)

• Oversee 3PL Parts Distribution Centre operations: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns processing.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts — reconcile discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy above 98%.
• Manage slow-moving and obsolete (SLOB) inventory: identify ageing stock, recommend corrective action (promotion, return to supplier, disposal), and report on progress monthly.
• Implement and enforce hazardous materials handling, storage, and disposal procedures in compliance with applicable UAE regulatory requirements.
• Manage the returns-to-supplier process including warranty parts, overstock returns, and damaged goods claims.
• Lead implementation of warehouse management best practices: FIFO, location management, ABC analysis-based slotting, and safety stock discipline.
