Description

Are you an organizer? Do you like to plan and direct? Towne Auto Group is seeking an individual to oversee the production of our service shop. This individual will play an important role in our service department to oversee and ensure complete customer satisfaction as well as customer retention through staff attitude, professionalism and quality of work as well as providing assistance and support to the technical staff. The Automotive Service Manager ensures that efficiencies are maximized for production and profitability in the repair shop.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Regulate and monitor the flow of service work through the department.
  • Schedule shop work as efficiently as possible and in accordance with dealership policy.
  • Assign work to technicians in a fair and equitable manner according to individual skill set.
  • Ensure work is completed on time by maximizing shop efficiencies, (i.e. cross training of technicians to broaden their skills); closely monitor work flow to ensure proper coverage is available.
  • Reduce comebacks by coaching/aiding technicians to practice good workmanship (fix it right the first time)
  • Verify work by technicians to ensure all assigned work has been completed. Assist in the hiring and training of all technical personnel.
  • Develop training plans to ensure factory requirements are maintained.
  • Work with the management team to ensure department goals and objectives are obtained.
  • Ensures tools & equipment are being serviced and maintained properly.
  • Develop & implement ideas that will improve shop performance.
  • Monitor all repair orders for holds and missed promised times.
  • Liaise with service advisors with regards to waiting customers, as well as other time commitments.

Job Types: Full-time, Commission
Pay: $45,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
