We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and be a minimum of second year apprentice in automotive repair and maintenance. The candidate will be focused on delivering exceptional service to our customers. This role requires hands-on experience with various vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical systems, and diagnostics. The Automotive Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all vehicles are serviced efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including Ford, GM, Dodge vehicles and diesel engines.
  • Conduct thorough automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
  • Interpret schematics and service manuals to execute repairs on automotive electrical systems and transmissions.
  • Execute alignment procedures and other mechanical adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
  • Assist in auto estimating for repair costs and timelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow within the service department.
  • Skills
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician with a minimum second year apprenticeship.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, including the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Familiarity with powertrain systems, alignment techniques, and vehicle maintenance protocols.
  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary.
  • Understanding of automotive electrical systems and their components.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.
  • Experience in auto estimating processes is a plus.
