JOB OVERVIEW

Precision Tune Auto Care Traverse City, MIis seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic to join our growing team. This role focuses on automotive maintenance and repair services for a high-volume shop, including everything from routine oil changes and brake jobs to engine diagnostics and repair. The ideal candidate is a dependable automotive technician with strong mechanical skills and a customer-focused attitude.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 6 months to 1+ year of automotive repair experience in a professional shop environment (required). Solid understanding of general car maintenance and repair techniques.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED (required). Additional automotive technical training or trade school certification is a plus.

SKILLS:

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities in automotive systems. Proficiency with tools/equipment for brake service, engine diagnostics, and general auto repair. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must have or be willing to acquire your own basic set of mechanic’s tools. Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening (required).
Availability to work full-time, five days a week (our shop is open Monday–Saturday, daytime hours; no Sundays) with occasional weekends or overtime as needed.
