Job Overview: An Automotive Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles, ensuring that all systems (engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, etc.) are functioning properly. The technician uses diagnostic tools to identify issues, performs regular maintenance tasks, and ensures vehicles meet safety and performance standards.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus (e.g., ASE certification).
  • Experience with automotive repair or mechanical work (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
  • Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Standing, bending, and lifting for long periods of time.
