JOB SUMMARY

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will work under direction of Service Manager. You will examine vehicles to identify the necessary repairs, diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and recommend appropriate repairs and perform repairs of customer vehicles by applying workmanship and quality of excellence standards. Also, the Automotive Service Technician will service vehicles in an efficient and ethical manner, and within the time promised to the customer.
The Automotive Service Technician is responsible to supply and maintain their own tools and toolbox. The Tony Graham Automotive Group supplies specialty tools pertaining to the Toyota brand and large equipment.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

  • Valid 310-S Certification of Qualification from the Ontario College of Trades
  • Membership with Ministry of College and Trades is in good standing
  • Valid Driver’s license and acceptable Driver’s Abstract

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years relevant experience, previous Toyota experience an asset

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Mature personality and sound judgement skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills are required to deal with Service Advisors, Managers, and other dealership personnel on a regular basis
  • Good initiative, ambitious, and great producer
  • Attention to detail, pride of workmanship, and detail conscious
  • Able to use the specialized tools required associated with this profession
  • Ability to learn new technologies and processes, and adapt to change
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • Proven, reliable attendance record
