We run a busy automotive repair shop and need someone who can keep the gears turning smoothly (without duct tape). If you can juggle customers, parts, schedules, and maybe even the occasional taco run — you might just be our person.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations and lead our team to success. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a comprehensive understanding of automotive repair and parts. This role requires effective communication, organizational abilities, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in automotive management or as an assistant manager with supervisory experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others effectively.
  • Familiarity with math, pricing strategies, and sales management principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Proficient in inventory management practices and merchandising techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience with cash handling procedures and customer service best practices.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies relevant to automotive environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily shop operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Supervise staff, dispatch work accordingly to the technicians, work up quotes for customer repairs, contact customer and present recommendations, order parts, and contact customer for pickup. You will be also be responsible for taking payments
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and inventory control.
  • Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Utilize POS systems for transactions and cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with upper management on budgeting and sales strategies to achieve business goals.
