JOB SUMMARY

As a journeyman you are already familiar with the job of diagnosing and repairing vehicles. As a professional member of the Airdrie Auto Haus shop team, you will also be helping improve the customer experience. How? You understand that great customer service comes from teamwork, consistency achieved by standard processes, and continual improvement. You understand your key position in the team, the process and continue to work to improve.
As a part of a team your teammates trust your professionalism. You work directly with the front-end staff to make sure we can communicate clearly with the customer and more importantly, exceed their expectations. You will work with your shop team members to ensure accurate diagnosis of vehicles happens on a timely basis, giving and getting advice as the circumstances require. You understand that you need to follow the processes to provide a consistent experience. You also understand that you work with the team to improve those processes as you learn.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a VW and/or Audi auto mechanic is a must
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles
  • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
  • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
  • Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred.

As a member of the shop team, you work with other journeyman and apprentice technicians who are led by the shop foreman. Your primary responsibility is diagnosis and repair of vehicles. To meet customer expectations, you also have duties and responsibilities to your team members and to our customers.
