As an Automotive Technician specializing in light, medium, and heavy-duty fleet vehicles, your role is crucial in ensuring the safety, satisfaction, and excellence of our fleet maintenance services. Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! $34-$40 per hour, depending on experience! Competitive hourly pay – paid weekly, every Friday Full benefits within 30 days Medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, life insurance, disability insurance 401(k) match program Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time Commitment to your safety through boot and prescription safety glasses reimbursement Career and learning development with an extensive training program through our Amerit University Employee referral program, up to $500 bonus ASE certification program with fee reimbursement and bonus Employee recognition platform with points redeemable for merchandise Employee assistance program (EAP) 24/7 nurse triage line Employee discounts on cell phone service and entertainment tickets Employee resource groups (ERGs) that foster inclusion Wellness and fitness program through our providers Laptop and/or cellphone provided What the Auto Service Technician role looks like: Prepare vehicle records and reports both manually and on a computer Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on light-, medium-, and heavy-duty gasoline and diesel vehicles Perform safety inspections and prepare required documentation Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and diesel-powered equipment Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies Inspect and work on the undercarriage and other components of vehicles Access all areas of vehicles and equipment for maintenance Move/install vehicle parts and maintain general upkeep of the mobile service truck Respond to off-site client service requests as needed Communicate with clients via email and phone Perform other duties as required What our ideal candidate looks like: At least 5 years of experience in vehicle maintenance OR 3 years with an auto/diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school Hands-on experience with light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles (both gasoline and diesel), hydraulic systems, and diesel-powered equipment Must have a valid Driver’s License CMV operation above 10K requiring medical certification Proficient with Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email Ability to work independently without direct supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills Must be able to operate a manual transmission Must provide own hand tools & toolbox Working Conditions: Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job. Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise. Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance Ability to move and position heavy objects Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
