Job Description Berman STAR Nissan is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a Level 2 Technician or higher, skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Nissan vehicles. Job Title: Automotive Technician Location: STAR Nissan (Niles, IL) Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours/week Pay: $20.50 - $22.50 per hour based on experience + certifications Benefits: Company PAID ASE Certifications Company PAID Manufacturer Training & Travel Company PAID Tool Insurance Competitive PTO Plan, earn 2 weeks within the first year! Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical problems and plan repair work Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any necessary repairs Test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality and effectiveness Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work Provide excellent customer service by explaining vehicle issues and necessary repairs to customers Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive mechanic Dealership experience, preferred Nissan experience, preferred Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
