Blackheath Automotive is looking to employ a full-time trade qualified and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. You should have demonstrated experience as an auto mechanic on cars with an ASE certificate. Would also consider a third or fourth year apprentice. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles.
We service all makes and models of vehicles.
The workshop is open Monday to Friday. No Saturday or Sunday work so that you are free to enjoy your weekends.

We are seeking a person with:

• A high level of workmanship
• The ability to work in a team and unsupervised
• The ability to prioritise work to achieve targets
• Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles of all makes and models
• Excellent diagnostic and fault finding skills, ability to identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment
• Follow correct procedures and guidelines
• Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles with good attention to detail
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training
• Help keep work shop clean and organised

Automotive Technical requirements:

• Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required
• ASE certificates required
• Hold a valid driver license – ability to drive automatic and manual vehicles
• Graduated from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the industry
• Would consider a third- or fourth-year apprentice.
