POSITION SUMMARY: The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing accurate, efficient, and high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role ensures vehicles are serviced according to manufacturer standards, safety regulations, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service and workmanship. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle systems, including brakes, engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and electrical components. * Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and tools. * Conduct multi-point inspections and communicate findings to the Service Advisor or Shop Foreman. * Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently, following manufacturer and dealership standards. * Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest quality and safety standards. * Keep up to date with factory training, technical bulletins, and repair procedures. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment. * Road test vehicles to verify repairs when appropriate. * Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and environmental regulations. * Assist and support other technicians and team members when needed. ---------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or ASE certification preferred. * Minimum 2–5 years of automotive repair experience (experience with [specific brand or type, e.g., domestic, import, or luxury] vehicles a plus). * Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. * Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic equipment and hand tools. * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment. ---------------------------------------- KEY COMPETENCIES: * Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail * Strong work ethic and reliability * Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction * Team-oriented with effective communication skills * Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and procedures ---------------------------------------- PHYSICAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS: * Frequent standing, bending, and lifting * Exposure to noise, vibration, and various weather conditions * Use of protective equipment as required
