If you are currently working within the industry and actively wanting to grow your skill set, please express interest - we provide study materials, online and in-person training for those seeking ASE/L1 certifications, and your training plan would be developed in-house with our Service Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: General Service Technicians / Mechanics perform all maintenance and repair services, including but not limited to: oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and more Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections Ensure all preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate Comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by Management Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions on a guest's vehicle Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization Qualifications Qualifications: Current driver’s license Experience mounting & balancing tires Experience performing oil changes Experience performing fluid exchanges Must be a problem solver, constantly looking for solutions & continuous improvement Must have a Team Wins/ I Win Attitude Wants to grow & learn Auto Tech skills - is intellectually curious & has mechanical ability Technologically astute ASE certifications: If you do not have any, must want them. They will be required for continued employment. Vehicle diagnostic experience beyond code reading preferred, but not required Experience performing alignments preferred, but not required Experience with steering and suspension preferred, but not required Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools Walk/stand for the majority of the workday Drive manual transmission vehicles Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment Efficiently navigate a computer Additional Information Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) began in 1982 with the simple premise of providing precision auto repair with transparency, integrity and a philosophy of people first.
