Hours: 7:30am to 5:00pm

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repairs and maintenance with precision and efficiency. This role requires a thorough knowledge of automotive systems and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver’s license is required (ability to drive standard and automatic is an asset)
• Registered with the College of trades.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.

• Diagnose and repair various automotive systems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs and maintenance needs.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology, tools, and repair techniques.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Document work performed, any findings or relevant information for customers on work orders.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions.
