This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and familiar with automotive title processing. You’ll be responsible for handling vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation with precision and efficiency, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities: Accurately prepare and submit title documents for new and used vehicles. Verify and process vehicle sales paperwork. Manage DMV documentation and maintain organized records. Resolve title issues, including corrections, duplicates, and lien releases. Communicate effectively with internal departments and customers regarding title status. Report the status of all outstanding title work to the Office Manager. Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins on a daily basis. Perform duties related to dealer trades. Prepare and submit GAP remittance payments on a monthly basis. Handle all GAP and ESP cancellations, issuing refunds to customers or lenders as needed. Process vehicle titles and registrations in compliance with state and federal regulations. Qualifications: Previous experience as a Title Clerk in an automotive dealership is required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Familiarity with dealership software systems is a plus. Qualifications Job Requirements Must know current State titling laws. Must be able to type using a typewriter and a computer keyboard. Must know Microsoft Office. Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and provide excellent customer service. Education High School diploma plus certificate of business training or equivalent experience. Experience Minimum 2 years title processing experience at either a car dealership, automotive leasing company, or state/county vehicle registration office. Previous experience using ADP Dealer Services is a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand, sit, and walk the showroom floor. Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds on occasion.
