North County Kia is looking for am Automotive Warranty Administrator that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and ensuring that things run smoothly behind the scenes! Our Warranty Administrator is expected to prepare, record, reconcile, and submit warranty claims to the factory and distributors for reimbursement in a timely manner. Compensation: $20 to $32 per hour, depending on experience What are the day-to-day responsibilities? Processes and post warranty claims Closes warranty repair orders Properly codes repair orders to ensure prompt and full payment from manufacturer Notifies manager when a repair order is incomplete or out of compliance with accepted manufacturer requirements Conducts necessary follow-up with the technician and/or service advisor to complete missing information Mails and/or electronically submits necessary documentation to manufacturer Maintains and balances warranty receivables schedule to recover payment in a timely manner Assists manufacturer and manager on warranty audits Notifies Service and Parts Manager when warranty parts can be prepared for scrappage and/or return to manufacturer What are the requirements for this job? Minimum of 1-year previous experience working in an automotive dealership Strong attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously Skill and ability to apply and perform basic mathematic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Excellent communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
