To continue growing this side of our business, we are seeking an experienced Wholesaler / Buyer with proven industry relationships and deep knowledge of the used vehicle marketplace.
Position Overview
The Wholesaler / Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and remarketing used vehicle inventory for the Auto Group. This role demands a seasoned professional who understands the wholesale and retail used car market, has a strong network of dealer/auction contacts, and can consistently identify profitable opportunities.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that the Jerry Pfeil Auto Group maintains an exceptional and profitable used vehicle inventory pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase used vehicles through auctions, dealer groups, rental companies, lease returns, and private channels.
• Leverage an established network of dealer and wholesaler relationships to secure inventory.
• Evaluate vehicles for profitability, desirability, and fit within the group’s inventory needs.
• Manage inventory flow, ensuring the right mix of vehicles for retail and wholesale opportunities.
• Sell or remarket wholesale units for profit to other dealerships, wholesalers, or used car lots.
• Stay current with used vehicle market trends, pricing fluctuations, and demand cycles.
• Explore and execute export opportunities by moving Canadian vehicles into U.S. markets when profitable.
• Work collaboratively with dealership General Managers to align inventory strategies with sales targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in used vehicle wholesale or retail operations.
• Demonstrated success in purchasing and remarketing vehicles for profit.
• Strong industry network with dealerships, wholesalers, and auctions.
• Knowledge of cross-border (Canada–U.S.) vehicle export practices and compliance (asset).
• Ability to assess market demand and price vehicles effectively.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driving record.
