Engineering Technician Location: Sunnyvale, CA Work Environment: In-person Pay: $45.00–$50.00 per hour Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/week, M–F, 8am–5pm) Additional Hours: Occasional weekends and overtime depending on build needs About the Role Were helping find a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support the design, buildout, testing, and maintenance of company test rigs and platforms. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team, make hands-on technical decisions, and help keep vehicles running safely and efficiently. What You’ll Do Troubleshoot vehicle systems, computer components, and sensors Perform root cause analysis, testing, and calibrations Assemble prototypes, wiring, and cable assemblies Maintain the lab inventory system and keep supplies organized Manage procurement for components and maintain supplier relationships Work with the team to minimize vehicle downtime and prioritize safety Required Experience & Skills 2+ years in mechanical, electrical, computer, automotive, or robotics fields Ability to assemble prototypes, electrical wiring, and cable assemblies Strong understanding of electrical schematics and datasheets Experience creating and documenting assembly procedures Hands-on experience in a shop, lab, or assembly environment Proven soldering skills; familiarity with shop tools and 3D printers Knowledge of automotive diagnostic tools Strong organization and communication skills Enthusiasm for learning new technologies Preferred/Bonus Skills Familiarity with Python or other programming languages Experience with ROS and Linux CNC, machining, metalworking, or welding skills Automotive repair and maintenance experience Experience with AV components (LiDAR, radar, cameras) Ability to design or prototype custom harness cables CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred) Why This Role Matters The team needs to upgrade vehicles with next-generation technology quickly — your work will directly support that goal.
