Royalty Staffing is helping our client hire hands-on Autonomous Vehicle Technician to support the build, maintenance, and operation of robotic platforms and modified vehicles. In this role, you will have a blend of mechanical, electrical, and field support work. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in automotive or robotics-related fields and are skilled in using diagnostic tools, reading technical diagrams, and working with electrical systems and components. You enjoy working on real-world systems in a fast-moving, technical environment. Location - Austin, TX Work environment - onsite Expected pay amount - 22.00 - 30.00 USD Per Hour Schedule - Monday - Friday, 9AM-6PM (Central Time) Assignment length - 12 month contract As an Automotive & Robotics Technician, you'll: Install and integrate sensors, compute modules, wiring harnesses, and other custom hardware. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on robotic systems and vehicle platforms. Perform preventative maintenance, retrofits, and hardware updates as needed. Support field deployments by providing on-site service, troubleshooting, and hardware swaps. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support testing and prototyping. Maintain tools, inventory, and clear documentation of repairs and procedures. Requirements Experience in automotive service, automotive retrofit, robotics, or a similar technical field Proficient with mechanical and electrical tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams Comfortable working with AC/DC systems, connectors, and electronic modules Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in field environments Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Team player with strong communication skills and adaptability Nice to Have: Experience with electric vehicles, autonomous systems, or sensor installation Soldering, crimping, or basic prototyping skills Pre-tax commuter benefits Employer subsidized Healthcare Benefits Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs Company covers all costs for short and long-term disability and life insurance 401k package
