Overview R&P is looking for a an experienced Auxiliary System Test Engineer who wants to join our the LPD team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a an experienced Auxiliary System Test Engineer ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. Responsibilities Witness tests of Auxiliaries (AX) tests and surveillance of auxiliary systems on LPD 17 Class vessels Review, update, and develop test procedures for shipboard testing events related to Auxiliary Systems Conduct surveillance of spaces and reports deficiencies, unusual conditions and test and grooming progress. Research Ship Specifications, drawings, technical manuals and PMS for test compliance. Reviews Object Quality Evidence (OQE) in support of government requirements Establish and maintain productive liaison with Government Project teams, Production Teams and Shipbuilder. Monitor Installation of Auxiliary Systems in New Construction shipyard environment. Identify performance issues with Auxiliaries Systems; isolate issues to either hardware or software or particular interfaces during testing. Draft and submit software trouble reports that describe the performance issue compared to performance requirements. Supports Milestone Management of Auxiliary Systems in support of Electronic Systems Light Off (ESLO), Combat System Light Off (CSLO), Electrical Generator Light Off (EGLO), and Main Engine Light Off (MELO). Reviews Auxiliary Systems Industrial Test Procedure CDRL's for technical accuracy against ship specifications and sub tier references. Serves as integrator and test witness for the following Auxiliary Systems including the following systems but not limited to; HVAC, CFW, CW, ASW, MSW, Firemain, Ballast/De-ballast, Potable Water, Deck Machinery and Hotel Services.
