Role: Audio Visual Commissioning Engineer
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Singapore
Salary: Competitive and negotiable dependent on experience, plus company benefits
Interview Process: 2 stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)
Hours: Monday – Friday 9.30am – 6pm (37.5 hours/week)

As our business and client base continues to develop further, we now have a newly created opportunity for an experience AV Commissioning Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will work within our talented technical team and be responsible for providing technical support for the duration of projects; working with the Project Manager to carry out the testing, verification and optimization of integrated systems to enhance our client’s user experience.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that the equipment specified is correct for the installation
  • Work closely with the project managers and clients to ensure that all requirements specified are accounted for
  • Maintain communication with the customer’s IT department/supplier to ensure measures the customer is responsible for. This includes setting up the customer’s network, access, permissions and configuration, etc.
  • Communicate required system functionality to the control system programmers
  • Perform system configuration for video, audio, control and network devices
  • Test system racks to ensure they meet the requirements by identifying and rectify faults prior to shipping
  • Commission equipment to the highest standard on site, including programming of audio DSP’s with audio tuning, setup of digital video systems and setup of video conferencing systems
  • Participate in acceptance tests with the customer as needed
  • Fault finding systems and resolving issues associated with design and manufacture
  • Technical Training to the client during project handover
  • Complete as built drawing and assist for handover documentation

CANDIDATES WILTH LESS EXPERIENCE TO THE BELOW, WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED FOR A JUNIOR COMMISSIONING ENGINEER ROLE

  • Excellent technical knowledge of AV & VC equipment from all major brands
  • An up-to-date understanding of the AV marketplace including products and trends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects
  • Ability to write DSP code (QSC, Biamp), fine tuning and maintain Kinly standards in DSP
  • Familiar with system configuration for major brands
  • Experience with advanced AV solutions
  • Experience and expertise with configuration and troubleshooting of AV solutions, especially AV over IP
  • Ability to commission control system and troubleshooting. Programming skill is a plus
  • Good understanding of IT and networks
